Recently modernised and well equipped, this inviting holiday home is quietly tucked away in a quiet residential area of Lyme Regis with views across the town and towards the sea. Its elevated position and large sitting out deck area take full advantage of the views making it a great holiday home from which to enjoy a vacation in this popular seaside town. The lounge has plenty of comfort for guests where you can relax and enjoy time together in the evenings and the light and airy kitchen/diner opens straight onto the deck area where you can dine in warmer weather. The property is perfectly placed for exploring the Jurassic Coast and everything on offer nearby. Shops, pubs, restaurants and beaches in Lyme Regis are fifteen minutes’ walk downhill.

This is the perfect base from which to explore West Dorset and East Devon. Lyme Regis includes the celebrity chef Mark Hix's superb Oyster and Seafood Restaurant, along with many other restaurants, cafes, pubs and tearooms. A wide selection of independent shops, as well as an award-winning museum, and small theatre can be found. For the more adventurous the South West Coast Path heads west through the amazing Undercliff between Lyme Regis and Axmouth, or east towards Charmouth and the magnificent National Trust land at Golden Cap. The popular destination of West Bay, famous for the TV series Broadchurch, is only 10 miles away on the Coast which is also a World Heritage Site. There are other attractions close by to suit all tastes including the Sub Tropical Gardens of Abbotsbury, fishing trips, fossil hunting at Charmouth, horse riding and much more.

Accommodation:

Steps down to the front door. The lobby leads to a Lounge with an L-shape sofa, armchair and Smart TV, Jam Audio Bluetooth wireless speaker. The kitchen/diner is fully equipped with a large Smeg oven and 5 burner gas hob, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and tall fridge/freezer. French doors lead to the deck area from the kitchen. Stairs to Bedroom 1 with 4ft 6inch double bed and views across Lyme Regis to the sea. Bedroom 2 with Zip-link King size bed (2ft 6inch twin beds can be made upon request when booking). Family bathroom with corner shower, hand basin and WC.

Outside:

Large deck area with views of the Sea and Lyme Regis from the rear of the property, with dining table and chairs. Steps down to a gravel and patio area with a small bistro table and chairs.

Please note: There are steep steps down from the deck to gravel/patio area and care should be taken. There is a 6ft drop from the end of the deck, which has heavy duty cable between the posts for safety. However, an unattended child could be at risk and should be accompanied at all times on the deck area.

Parking:

Private driveway by the side of the house. Parking for one large car.

Lyme Regis

Lyme Regis, nicknamed 'The Pearl of Dorset' lies on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast and is near Charmouth and the Devon border. Lyme Regis is a historic seaside resort and fishing port and boasts breathtaking scenery, making it a resort for all seasons. The town is famous for its fossils, often found on its beaches and cliffs. In fact, it was in the cliffs that the famous Ichthyosaur was discovered by Mary Anning, the daughter of a local fossil collector. She went on to find a complete Plesiosaur and the well-preserved remains of a flying reptile. Book a fossil walks with local experts to ensure you are both safe and full of knowledge by the end. The famous harbour wall known as 'The Cobb' featured in the film and novel of The French Lieutenant's Woman.

Lyme Regis is a great place to eat out and has a wide variety covering the globe as well as price. From traditional fish and chips to Asian fusion, Indian, Italian, Spanish and British. For foodies try Robin Wylde and their amazing taste menus. The Whole Hog will have you feeling full with excellent roasts while Red Panda offers Asian as well as a traditional British menu.
