This, like almost all of the Jurassic Coastline, is a walkers paradise with views across the ocean to the Isle of Wight from Old Harry Rocks. Carry on round and explore Durlston Country Park and Nature Reserve or head the other way and explore further great, sandy beaches at Studland. Explore inland on the Swanage Steam Railway and visit the ruins and history of Corfe Castle. Or just stay in Swanage which has everything you need for a traditional seaside holiday on its award-winning Blue Flag sandy beach along with a host of events throughout the year including jazz, comedy, folk and blues festivals. All of this can be enjoyed with your pets as the property accepts up to two well-behaved dogs.
The accommodation at 20 Ulwell Road is arranged over three floors and comprises of a sitting room with wood burner, Freeview TV, WiFi and a selection of books, games and DVDs. The dining room also sports a wood burner and has a large rectangular table to seat all the guests. The kitchen and utility area comes equipped with an Aga, gas oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer as well as a range of accessories and utensils. A cloakroom rounds of the ground floor. On the first floor is a king-size double with en suite shower room, another king-size double bedroom, a twin and a single. A bathroom with bath with shower over, basin and toilet and a cloakroom with basin and toilet serve the bedrooms on the first floor. On the second floor are two king-size double bedrooms and an impressive bathroom with free-standing bath, separate shower, bidet, basin and toilet. Finally, there is an annexe with a king-size double with en suite shower room and even a small kitchenette. A travel cot and highchair can be provided upon request.
Outside is a tiered garden with lawned areas and raised patio complete with furniture. There is off-road parking for up to five cars. Your fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price.

Swanage is a large, pretty, coastal town on the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset. The town has an array of shops, cafes and restaurants and is a great base for exploring what Swanage and the surrounding areas have to offer. Enjoy the charm and the atmosphere of the town, join in with regatta in the summer months. For those walking enthusiasts, enjoy amazing views along this stretch of the South West Coast Path. The chalky cliffs of Old Harry's Rock are spectacular and are well worth your time to visit. The rocks mark the most eastern point of the Jurassic Coast. Visit Durleston Country Park and Nature Reserve and explore the 320 acres of stunning countryside. Discover the vast species of wildlife and marvel at the spectacular views. There are plenty of water sports to try out here and great waters to try them out in.
Swanage beach is 4 miles of golden, sandy beach. Sheltered waters, and lifeguards patrolling the beach in the summer months, makes it very popular with families. This beach holds the prestigious Blue flag award for beach cleanliness. Why not hire out a traditional beach hut for the duration of your stay, this will save you carrying your beach luggage everywhere. Pedalos can be hired on the beach as can deckchairs, although dogs are not allowed on this beach from May to September. Pier Beach is a tiny sand and shingle beach near the traditional pier, perfect for sitting and watching the world go by. The clear waters make it great for snorkelling or angling. Dogs are allowed on this beach all year.
Swanage Railway is a fantastic and exciting way to see the Isle of Purbeck in style. This heritage railway has a steam and diesel train running the five and a half miles from Norden. It takes in Corfe Castle and Swanage with picnic tables at most stations for you to make the most of the day. Take a day trip to Corfe Castle, explore the castle and then make the return journey back. At Christmas, join the Swanage railway for a magical Christmas adventure for not only the children to enjoy but the adults too.
