This pretty cottage with its holiday feel is situated in the heart of Lyme Regis, which makes it the perfect base from which to explore the World Heritage Coast. Its superb location, in one of the oldest and picturesque lanes of the town, is the perfect choice for a seaside holiday. With all of the amenities of this unspoilt coastal town right on the doorstep, this attractive cottage offers comfortable and well-equipped accommodation just a stone's throw from the seafront promenade, beach and gardens.

Lyme Regis is a wonderful location for a traditional seaside break. The nearby local Museum displays artefacts related to the town’s literary connections and provides a crash course in local history, its geology, and of course Mary Anning’s story (soon to be a film).
Foodies should head to the nearby Town Mill Complex in Mill Lane, just off Coombe Street, where as well as a working mill, pottery, art gallery, local brewery and café/tearooms there is an energetic river walk. Wander through Langmoor and Lister gardens and you have far-reaching views of the famous Lyme Cobb, harbour and Jurassic Coast. A short stroll away is HIX Oyster & Fish House with a large terrace wrapped around the informal, light and airy dining room, the perfect place to enjoy some locally sourced fish and seafood.

Please Note: Pets are not permitted at this property. However, for those guests with allergies please be aware that the owner has a pet that occasionally accompanies them on visits.

Ground floor open plan living area with 3 seater sofa, armchair, TV, DVD and CD/MP3 player. Dining table and chairs.
The kitchen is equipped with an oven/microwave, electric hob, dishwasher, washing machine (under stairs), fridge with an icebox compartment. French doors lead to the patio area.

First floor:
Please note: Stairs are not fully enclosed but do have a bannister.
Bedroom 1 with 4ft 6inch double bed.
Bedroom 2 with 4ft 6inch double platform bed with limited access to either side of the bed.
Family bathroom with shower over bath, wash basin and WC.

Outside:

Small patio area with seating, accessed via French doors in the kitchen. Upper garden patio area with additional seating. There is a private path alongside the cottage that provides access to the neighbouring cottage, tucked behind the cottage and separated by a tall, private fence on the upper patio level. Young children should be supervised in the split level patio area.

Parking:

Nearest public parking 2 minutes’ walk downhill, 3-day and weekly tickets available. Plenty of other public parking available nearby.

Lyme Regis

Lyme Regis, nicknamed 'The Pearl of Dorset' lies on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast and is near Charmouth and the Devon border. Lyme Regis is a historic seaside resort and fishing port and boasts breathtaking scenery, making it a resort for all seasons. The town is famous for its fossils, often found on its beaches and cliffs. In fact, it was in the cliffs that the famous Ichthyosaur was discovered by Mary Anning, the daughter of a local fossil collector. She went on to find a complete Plesiosaur and the well-preserved remains of a flying reptile. Book a fossil walks with local experts to ensure you are both safe and full of knowledge by the end. The famous harbour wall known as 'The Cobb' featured in the film and novel of The French Lieutenant's Woman.

Lyme Regis is a great place to eat out and has a wide variety covering the globe as well as price. From traditional fish and chips to Asian fusion, Indian, Italian, Spanish and British. For foodies try Robin Wylde and their amazing taste menus. The Whole Hog will have you feeling full with excellent roasts while Red Panda offers Asian as well as a traditional British menu.
