Apple Tree Cottage is a traditional thatched cottage situated in the village of Burton Bradstock near to the town of Bridport in Dorset and benefits from a lovely cottage garden. The cottage can sleep 4 people in 1 double and 1 twin single bedroom as well as a family bathroom. The rest of the cottage is made up of a fitted cottage kitchen and a sitting room with a feature fireplace. To the outside of the cottage is on-road parking in the quiet country lane and a lovely cottage garden to the rear with garden furniture. Apple Tree Cottage is perfectly located to enjoy all that the Jurassic Coastline has to offer coupled with a stay in a chocolate box cottage.
A picturesque cottage complete with a thatched roof, Apple Tree Cottage is in the heart of Burton Bradstock right next door to the village post office. A quaint village that is made up of cute thatched cottages, twisting country lanes, pretty gardens and a picturesque river.
A cosy sitting room/study with a log effect gas fire and kitchen breakfast room that leads into the cottage garden you can offer the full cottage experience. The village has a shop and two pubs to choose from, each serving good food and ales. There is also the village tea rooms are there for morning coffee or afternoon tea. The beach is an easy walk from the cottage and is a must-see for its wonderful cliff views.
A highly commended beach cafe called 'The Hive' which serves a variety of local food and drinks sits on the edge of the beach. A trip to West Bay, which is approximately three miles away, gives you a chance to explore the colourful fishing harbour, sample locally caught crabs and lobsters and don’t forget ice cream.
The Market Town of Bridport with its famous antique market can be found just 4 miles and a short drive away and is worth a visit. If you dream of finding fossil’s and chasing down history then the beautiful Charmouth beach should be on your agenda. Burton Bradstock is a pretty village famous for its sandstone cliffs. You can reach the nearby villages of West Bay and West Bexington along the South West Coast Path. Burton Bradstock has a few pubs, a post office, tearooms, and cafes. The cliffs show alternate hard and soft layered geology of the Bridport Sands which make it appear to glow bright gold in the sunlight, a spectacular and mesmerizing sight. A break in the cliff formation provides access to the National Trust owned Hive Beach. The beach is very popular with families and is a favourite with visitors and locals who enjoy walking their dogs and enjoying a meal at The Hive Beach Cafe. The village also plays host to the wonderful Spring Tide Food Festival each May. This gives visitors the chance to sample and buy local produce including a selection of local beer and cider.
