Apple Tree Cottage is located in one of my favourite Dorset holiday spots, Osmington. This newly renovated cottage is situated behind the owner's home and is accessed via a path around the side of their garden. Ringstead, a short walk away, is an excellent holiday location with a lovely beach, a great area for water sports enthusiasts (beware the reef at low tide!), plenty of amazing walks with some excellent views across the World Heritage Jurassic coastline and a pretty 10-minute walk will take you through to the Smugglers pub in Osmington. Definitely take a torch for the trip back! Ringstead Bay itself is a pretty 20 to 30 minute walk away either along the quiet lane or through the woods where there is also a beach cafe. This is perhaps the perfect romantic getaway but if you need to holiday with all the family then good news. Apple Tree Cottage also accepts one well-behaved pet so everyone can enjoy the outstanding beauty and walks of Osmington, Ringstead and the surrounding area.

Osmington is a small village with narrow streets lined with picturesque thatched cottages. The village is very popular with walkers wanting to see the White Horse ingrained in the hillside. Built in 1808 to honour King George III, who was a frequent visitor to the area. The figure on the hillside depicts the King riding a horse who sadly did not survive long enough to see this famous landmark.
Osmington Mills is a 10-minute walk along the coast path. Soak in the stunning views along the way. Visit the very pretty and very popular pub The Smugglers. The pub tells tales of the French smuggler, Pierre Latour, in the 17th century. Sit back, take in the stunning views and the excellent home-cooked food. It is well worth a visit.
