Banff is a two-bedroom holiday apartment, quietly tucked away behind the main shopping street in the heart of the unspoilt Dorset seaside town of Lyme Regis, offering comfortable and well-equipped accommodation for couples or families. Traditional in feel and agreeably furnished, this first-floor apartmet has an open plan living area with a lovely large bay window, making it a light and bright apartment. One small or medium-sized dog, well-behaved will also be welcomed.  An allocated off-road parking for one car is provided (see details below). This property is the perfect choice for those seeking a seaside apartment with all of the amenities of this unspoilt little coastal town right on the doorstep. The seafront promenade, shops, restaurants, pubs and gardens are all just a stone's throw away. 

As well as a sandy beach and seafront promenade, Lyme Regis includes celebrity chef Mark Hix's superb Oyster and Seafood Restaurant, along with many other restaurants, cafes, pubs and tearooms. The town is a wonderful location for those seeking a traditional seaside break. A wide selection of independent shops, as well as an award-winning museum, and a small theatre can be found. For the more adventurous the South West Coast Path heads west through the amazing Undercliff between Lyme Regis and Axmouth, or east towards Charmouth and the magnificent National Trust land at Golden Cap. If you are planning a holiday without a car, the mainline railway station in nearby Axminster is served by a regular bus service (or taxis), to and from the town.

Self-contained apartment - first floor (access via one flight of internal steps from the parking area): Entrance hallway. Open plan living room with easy seating and flat-screen TV, dining table and kitchen with electric ceramic hob, electric oven, fridge with ice-box, dishwasher and microwave. Bedroom 1 with double bed. Bedroom 2 with twin beds. Bathroom: with bath, separate shower, WC and washbasin. Utility cupboard with washing machine.


No seating outside.


There is an allocated off-road parking space for one car - please note that the access to the parking area is through a very narrow archway from the main shopping street, approximately 1.9m wide at the narrowest point (may not be suitable for some cars). If required, there is plentiful safe public parking a few minutes walk from the apartment. Holmbush long stay car park is a 5 minute walk away through the Lister gardens.

Lyme Regis

Lyme Regis, nicknamed 'The Pearl of Dorset' lies on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast and is near Charmouth and the Devon border. Lyme Regis is a historic seaside resort and fishing port and boasts breathtaking scenery, making it a resort for all seasons. The town is famous for its fossils, often found on its beaches and cliffs. In fact, it was in the cliffs that the famous Ichthyosaur was discovered by Mary Anning, the daughter of a local fossil collector. She went on to find a complete Plesiosaur and the well-preserved remains of a flying reptile. Book a fossil walks with local experts to ensure you are both safe and full of knowledge by the end. The famous harbour wall known as 'The Cobb' featured in the film and novel of The French Lieutenant's Woman.

Lyme Regis is a great place to eat out and has a wide variety covering the globe as well as price. From traditional fish and chips to Asian fusion, Indian, Italian, Spanish and British. For foodies try Robin Wylde and their amazing taste menus. The Whole Hog will have you feeling full with excellent roasts while Red Panda offers Asian as well as a traditional British menu.
