An easy walk into the village centre and the local dining pubs, and backing onto woodland, the tranquil location offers a relaxed atmosphere for your holiday. The large comfortable dining lounge has an open fire as the focal point, and a small conservatory with easy chairs, perfect for bird watching in the garden! The kitchen is well-equipped for your stay and linked to the dining room with a handy serving hatch. Outside, the rear lawned garden is bordered with pretty planting and wraps around the side of the bungalow with a teak dining set for al fresco meals.
Blackbirds is situated in a quiet residential area very close to the open Forest. Bransgore has local shops including a butcher, baker, pet shop and supermarket, and there is a farm shop with pick your own fruit and veg nearby. The popular village of Burley is a short drive away, as are the local sandy beaches at Highcliffe and Mudeford, making this the perfect base to explore the area during your New Forest holiday.
Being all on one level, the property is suitable for those with mobility issues – access statement available if required.

The peaceful garden is a particularly beautiful feature of the property, backing onto woodland and bordered by mature shrubs. There is a flat lawn and plenty of outdoor seating, with a bench and bistro set overlooking the rear garden, a couple of sun loungers for lazy summer days, and a dining table and chair set complete with parasol located on the secluded side patio for al fresco meals.

Christchurch lies between the beautiful New Forest National Park and Bournemouth. Visit the area for the beaches which extend for four miles and are beautiful golden sand. The nearby villages of Highcliffe and Mudeford offer fantastic opportunities for crab fishing. Highcliffe Beach and Friars Cliffe are safe for swimming. The town has an array of shops in the pedestrianized Saxon square as well as a weekly market. Christchurch has a variety of cafes and pubs around the Quay, relax and soak up the tranquil atmosphere. Christchurch plays host to the Food and Wine Festival in May and has over 100 stalls. Join the atmosphere of the Music Festival on the first weekend of July. Catch the Annual Regatta held on the second week of August which ends with a superb fireworks display.
Take a boat to the vast Nature reserve of Brownsea Island owned by the National Trust. Try Watermans Adventure Park catering for different age groups. Or, for family fun then Christchurch Quay and Splash Park cater for all ages. Adventure Wonderland is a great park catering to younger children. We have visited several times and it always goes down well and we stay until closing! Christchurch and Highcliffe Castle are a must for history lovers with Highcliffe Castle having a cafe to relax in after your tour.
