Description

This modern holiday home has been designed to take advantage of fabulous views of Lyme Regis and the Sea from the living room and kitchen by way of its quirky 'upside down' layout. Located in a quiet residential area of this lovely coastal town, the property is perfectly suited to an enjoyable holiday and offers the ideal 'home from home', providing very good quality accommodation for couples and families. The master bedroom on the ground floor includes an en suite shower room and relaxing armchairs whilst the first floor comprises the living area and bedrooms. The house is very well furnished and the addition of a paved patio and garden furniture creates an enjoyable spot in which to sit and enjoy a glass of wine or to dine al fresco. This property also has the added advantage of garage parking for one car plus space for a second car on the driveway. If you wish to leave the car at home it is an easy walk downhill to the town and beach. And a bus can bring you back uphill and drop you near the house.

Calleva is situated in an elevated residential area of Lyme Regis, about fifteen minutes' walk down to the beaches, shops and restaurants with a convenient bus stop very nearby. The house is part of a cul-de-sac with private parking and peaceful surroundings. The pretty and un-spoilt Dorset seaside town of Lyme Regis has many independent shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes as well as a sandy beach, harbour and seafront promenade. It's a great destination for a relaxing, traditional seaside holiday. This is also the perfect base from which to explore the whole World Heritage Coast of West Dorset and East Devon.

Lyme Regis

Lyme Regis, nicknamed 'The Pearl of Dorset' lies on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast and is near Charmouth and the Devon border. Lyme Regis is a historic seaside resort and fishing port and boasts breathtaking scenery, making it a resort for all seasons. The town is famous for its fossils, often found on its beaches and cliffs. In fact, it was in the cliffs that the famous Ichthyosaur was discovered by Mary Anning, the daughter of a local fossil collector. She went on to find a complete Plesiosaur and the well-preserved remains of a flying reptile. Book a fossil walks with local experts to ensure you are both safe and full of knowledge by the end. The famous harbour wall known as 'The Cobb' featured in the film and novel of The French Lieutenant's Woman.

Lyme Regis is a great place to eat out and has a wide variety covering the globe as well as price. From traditional fish and chips to Asian fusion, Indian, Italian, Spanish and British.
