A warming wood burner can be lit in the cooler months of the year lending the room a wonderfully cosy glow, whilst there is also a wood-fired bread oven. On entering the cottage you are in the spacious dining room that offers the ideal space to enjoy family meals, moving through to the kitchen, guests will find a well-equipped space offering everything they will need to make themselves at home including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher, whilst there is also a washer/dryer. The first of the cottage’s three bedrooms, a twin room, can also be found on the ground floor. This room offers a king-size bed, as well as a contemporary-style en-suite shower room with a shower and WC. The third bedroom is a restful twin room, close to which the main bathroom offers a shower over bath and WC.

To the rear of the property, there is a spacious, enclosed garden which consists of a raised patio seating area for which there is garden furniture provided, and offers far-reaching views over the surrounding countryside. Corfe Castle

Corfe Castle is a small, picturesque village nestled in the Isle of Purbeck. The ruins of Corfe Castle provide the backdrop to the village and is very popular with visitors. Walking around the village there local craft shops to explore and plenty of tea rooms with homemade scones and cakes. Enid Blyton holidayed here often and some of the areas appear fondly in her books. Enid explored the ruins in 1814 and it's believed she arrived by steam train on the Swanage Railway. Corfe Castle became her inspiration for Errin Castle in the Famous Five book. Take one of the many trails in Corfe itself, download a treasure map and away you go on your own adventure.

Corfe Castle

Built in 1086 but destroyed in 1646, some of the ruined stone appear in the buildings in the village.
