Dairy Cottage is set in a delightful location with peaceful surroundings and well manicured grounds with uninterrupted views up the Vale to Marshwood.  A comfortable conversion from a former byre and set in the heart of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with the added benefit of everything being on a level ground floor.  Finished in a traditional cottage style the property delivers a a relaxing break, whatever the season.  There is a generous sized patio ideal for al fresco dining or simply enjoy a cool glass of wine on a summers evening after a day of exploring the scenic area. The owner has a small lake in the grounds which holds an array of abundant wildlife and you can see this up close and enjoy ducks, kingfishers and occasional heron living on the pond.  

Located very near to the charming seaside village of Charmouth and close to the popular location of Lyme Regis in West Dorset.  Charmouth has a small selection of shops and a post office as well as pubs, cafes and restaurants. The Heritage Coast Centre on the seafront provides a wealth of information about local geology, rock pooling and fossil collecting.  A great location for walkers; the South West Coast footpath and a network of inland footpaths allow visitors to explore the stunning West Dorset coast and countryside.  The popular destination of West Bay, famous for the TV series Broadchurch is 20 minutes drive and the bustling town of Bridport offers a range of shops and facilities. There are other attractions close by to suit all tastes including the Sub Tropical Gardens of Abbotsbury, fishing trips, fossil hunting an of course and no visit would be complete without seeing Lyme Regis.

Accommodation:

All on the ground floor.  Front door to small lobby, which leads to Kitchen, equippped with electric cooker, microwave and fridge with ice box.  Lounge with two seater sofa and two arm chairs, Woodburner (first basket of logs supplied), dining table and chairs, Flatscreen TV with built in DVD player.  French doors to Patio area.  On the ground floor is a Family bathroom with shower over bath, W.C. and wash-hand basin.  Bedroom 1 with 5ft king size bed.  Bedroom 2 with twin 3ft beds.  Nearby utility room with access to washing machine and a shared freezer.  There is a small fee for use of the washing machine.

Patio area is accessed through French doors in the lounge.  Outdoor furniture; dining table, chairs, parasol and recliners. Huge lawn area leads to the picturesque pond with its free roaming ducks. Benches provided to sit and enjoy the tranquility, sunshine and countryside views.  

Designated parking for two vehicles on the driveway.

Charmouth

Charmouth is a beautiful, unspoiled seaside village near Lyme Regis. For families, it is a chance to unwind and enjoy the charm the village has to offer. The village has two traditional pubs, as well as cafes. There are a post office, convenience store and bakers. The village is very picturesque and the National Trust controls significant portions of the scenic areas around the town. The area, famed for its fossils on the sandy beach is part of the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. Join in with a guided fossil hunt or visit the fossil centre to learn more. The beach is famous for its sandy shore and gently shelving waters make it the ideal family beach
