Symondsbury provides shops with local produce including fresh bread, pastries, cheese and local beer, gin and wine you won’t have to go far for these tasty essentials. Browse amongst gorgeous blooms such as peonies, hydrangeas and clematis in the Charles Chesshire nursery and stock up on logs at the old Dutch Barn. Bike hire is available in the village to enjoy a ride along the bike trail accessed from the property. If walking is more your thing, you’ll love the various walking trails, especially the captivating Colmer’s Hill with its path right to the top and spectacular panoramic views out to sea and across the rolling countryside of Dorset. Bridport, there is a larger selection of shops, cafes and restaurants as well as a lively arts scene and vintage and farmers markets. The nearby fishing village of West Bay is also only three miles away with its pretty harbour and beach.

Entering this beautiful red brick farmhouse, you will find an open plan light-filled kitchen/diner, the ideal place to start the day, it has the original beams and stonework, along with a fireplace and open fire. The kitchen is well equipped with a Range oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer, it is just the place to rustle up a warming breakfast in the morning. Once the cooking is done head through to the cosy lounge and stretch out on the sofas and armchairs in front of the TV/DVD and the roaring wood burner, housed in its own traditional inglenook fireplace. When the time comes to lay your head down, head up the stairs to the first floor and you will find a super king-size zip and link (which can be made into a twin on request) with an additional single bed with an en suite shower and WC. There is also the bathroom on this floor with a handheld shower over the bath and WC. Then heading up to the second floor is the super king-size zip and link (which can be made into a twin on request) with an additional single bed with en suite shower and WC and two king-size zip and links (which can be made into small twins on request).

Outside, summer living comes easy at this property. A delightful outside dining terrace overlooking rolling fields as far as the eye can see is the perfect spot for balmy evenings chatting long into the night with friends and family over the gas BBQ. Whatever the weather, guests can sink into the hot tub for a little stargazing under the dark night sky. Those who aren’t ready for bed can challenge fellow guests to a game of table football or table tennis in the games room or have a bounce on the trampoline. Spend lazy days wandering the estate, by foot, bike or horse you can even bring your equine friend on holiday with you if you fancy exploring the area on horseback. There is also ample parking at the property.

Bridport is a small, busy market town on Dorset's Jurassic Coast. The town has quite a few independent shops, a supermarket, cafes and restaurants. There are also local markets here each week. Bridport has an arts centre, cinema, and museum. The museum includes an exhibition of the town's long history of rope-making amongst other exhibits. The town hosts the local food festival for a week at the end of June and ends with the Round Table Beer Festival. The town holds its annual carnival on the third Saturday in August. Visit Palmers Thatched Brewery to sample local beers and ale. Explore Mangerton Mill which is still a working water mill, visit the tea rooms attached and finish off with a country walk by the river.
