Set behind the owners’ ancient farmhouse, and sensitively converted from a 300-year-old stone barn, Droop Farm Cottage has plenty to offer a group of family or friends seeking to get away from it all. You will be impressed by the elegant and homely feel throughout, wonderful welcome basket provided with Tracey’s own homemade marmalade and cake! With the exterior stone work representing everything that is quintessential about small, English cottages.
Droop Farm Cottage is a converted 300-year-old stone barn set behind the owners ancient cottage in the village of Hazelbury Bryan. Perfect for those looking for peace and privacy the outside is also spacious with views towards Bulbarrow Hill, the highest point in Dorset. The interior is elegant and homely with great thought put into ensuring the layout provides the best experience for guests and also benefits from a ground floor double bedroom so suitable for those visiting with limited mobility. The village itself has a 15th-century church, the local pub, the Antelope dates from 1750, there is a local Spar shop, a cricket ground, football facilities and a children's play area. There are many walks in the area that can be enjoyed with up to two dogs as Droop Farm Cottage is also pet friendly and even supplies a welcome basket for your pets.
The accommodation at Droop Farm Cottage comprises a spacious living room with comfy seating, Freeview TV, DVD player, wood-burning effect stove and WiFi-enabled throughout. The kitchen/diner is well equipped with an electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer with a dining table and seating for six. There is a ground floor double bedroom with a separate shower room with toilet and basin. On the first floor, you will find an additional double bedroom and a twin room and a family bathroom with a bath, separate shower, toilet and wash basin. A travel cot and highchair can also be provided upon request.
Outside is a generously sized lawned garden with a paved area complete with teak furniture, barbecue, steamer chair for relaxing in the sun and even a croquet set is provided for your enjoyment. There is ample off-road parking available. Your fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price.
