This superb property has been equipped to a high standard with a lovely feel to its design. Conveniently placed, so that you can walk to the shops, restaurants and pubs but ideally positioned to visit the Jurassic Coast, just minutes away by car. This excellent apartment is on the second floor of a historic building that dates back to the industrial Ropemaking days in the region. The famed market town of Bridport with its harbour at West Bay, famous as the setting for the television series Broadchurch, is the perfect base from which to explore Dorset's coast and countryside. The nearby fishing port with its beach and harbour can be reached easily via a footpath along the riverbank. The whole of the World Heritage Jurassic Coast, including the lovely seaside town of Lyme Regis is a short drive away.

Bridport holds a famous twice-weekly street market on Wednesdays and Saturdays with stalls selling curiosities, amazing artisan food and bric-a-brac. This small town is able to boast independent, award-winning butchers, bakers, greengrocers and a brewery. The Electric Palace Cinema and Bridport Arts Centre are worthy of checking for great entertainment locally. The 18 mile long Chesil beach, which runs from Portland to West Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is very nearby and offers dramatic scenery. Unsurpassed walking along the South West Coastal Path is on tap. The famed village of Abbotsbury with its swannery is a short drive from Bridport and the very popular Hive Beach Café is a must-visit.

The modern fitted kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave oven, washing machine with dryer, dishwasher and tall fridge/freezer. Bedroom 1 has a 4ft 6inch double bed and ensuite with shower over bath, WC and wash basin. Bedroom 2 has twin 3ft beds. There is a separate Shower room with large shower, W.C. and wash basin.

Bridport is a small, busy market town on Dorset's Jurassic Coast. The town has quite a few independent shops, a supermarket, cafes and restaurants. There are also local markets here each week. Bridport has an arts centre, cinema, and museum. The museum includes an exhibition of the town's long history of rope-making amongst other exhibits. The town hosts the local food festival for a week at the end of June and ends with the Round Table Beer Festival. The town holds its annual carnival on the third Saturday in August. Visit Palmers Thatched Brewery to sample local beers and ale. Explore Mangerton Mill which is still a working water mill, visit the tea rooms attached and finish off with a country walk by the river.
