Fountain Cottage is a cosy stone cottage with accommodation all on one level that can sleep two people in one bedroom. The property has a fully fitted kitchen and a sitting room with dining area and a wood-burning stove to ensure maximum cosiness. Outside of the cottage are a mature garden with lawned area, patio and barbecue and off-road parking for one car. This cosy hideaway set in beautiful ground near Radipole, Weymouth makes the perfect getaway.
Fountain Cottage is a comfortable one-bedroom cottage attached to an old Rectory, set in 3 acres of grounds at the heart of the village Conservation Area. The lovely Wey Valley Walks pass right by the back gate at the old stone bridge across the trout river, and Radipole Lake RSPB bird sanctuary is a few minutes away.
The accommodation comprises of a good-sized lounge/diner that has a wood-burning stove making this an ideal retreat over the winter months. The kitchen has a breakfast table for two, high-level oven and is equipped with fridge, freezer, washer/dryer and dishwasher with door to the private garden. The bedroom has a kingsize double bed and the luxury bathroom has a double corner bath with shower handset, countertop basin, airing cupboard and toilet.
Outside there is a garden mostly laid to lawn with a small patio area and garden furniture and barbecue. There is private parking.

Weymouth is a busy seaside town and lies on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. Weymouth's golden sandy beach has received the Quality Coast Award. This is because of good quality water, well-developed facilities and beach supervision. There are plenty of supermarkets and a variety of shops. There is a wide choice of cafes and restaurants, offering a range of cuisines. As a result, you are spoilt for choice. Weymouth is famous for its fresh seafood. You can often see the local fishermen unloading their daily catch from the Harbour. It is from the harbour that you can pick up boat tours. These include a tour of the Jurassic coast and a water taxi from Weymouth to Portland.
Weymouth Attractions and Activities
Lodmoor Country Park is fantastic for the children and adults to explore and rest for a picnic. In addition, try your hand at crazy golf or let the children drive in the little go-kart track. Let the children loose in the Pirate Ship Play Park or the Green Gym. Slide down the wonky slide or walk the dog through the woodland paths. RSPB Nature Reserve is next to Lodmoore Park displaying details of all the Marsh birds in the area. Also, there is a cafe for refreshments after all the exploring. Sandworld is by the cycle path at Lodmoor park. Be amazed at the awesome sculptures made by local artists. You can let the children take turns to make their own sand sculpture. In addition, view smaller displays along the seafront. In conclusion, the attention to detail that goes into these will amaze you.
The Sea Life Centre is full of marine animals and much much more. The Centre is jam-packed full of fun rides and activities for the children. There are also rides galore along the seafront with arcades that stay open in the evenings. A little train will take you along the length of the seafront. Here you will find Donkey rides on the beach are available. Punch and Judy play on the seafront during the summer. A short walk away is the Nothe Fort which holds events for both adults and children. Weymouth is well known for the Red Arrows display which happens on Carnival Day. You can watch the action from the beach and see the fireworks from the bay. At night, colourful lasers light up the seafront and the promenade. The Pavillion theatre holds regular live shows.
