Access to the property is via external steps from the gated courtyard in Kellaway Court, you enter the property on the first floor walking into the open plan living area.
George's House is located in the desirable Kellaway Court part of the Brewers Quay area of Weymouth. This converted malthouse has been sympathetically converted matching old with new to produce a wonderful holiday home. Weymouth has a wonderful curving arc of golden, sandy beach that has been awarded a Blue Flag award consistently over the years. Adjacent to the town it allows easy access to the shops, restaurants and cafes. But there is so much to see and do in the town. Relax in Greenhill Gardens, Nothe Gardens or at Radipole Lake and Gardens. Go on a Jurassic Safari to discover parts of Dorset you wouldn't find yourself, or explore the harbour area and go on a fishing trip. Discover the restaurants and cafes around Brewers Quay and Hope Square. Explore the history of the 19th century Nothe Fort or find out about our marine life at the Sea Life Centre. Be amazed at the creations at Sandworld Sculpture Park or have fun at Lodmoor Country Park.
The accommodation at George's House comprises of an open plan living area with dining table and chairs for seven, two comfy sofas, armchairs, TV, DVD player, Blu Ray player and WiFi-enabled throughout. The kitchen is well equipped with gas hob and oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. There are four bedrooms. On the first floor is a single with an additional 2'6" pull out bed. On the second floor is a king-size double with en suite shower room, a super king-size double that can also be made up as a twin if it better suits your requirements and a single bedroom. There is a bathroom with a bath with hand-held shower, separate shower, basin and toilet. A cot can be provided upon request.
Outside is a small balcony. Your holiday can be enjoyed with one well-behaved dog as well. A shop is just 2 minutes away, a pub 30 seconds away, the harbour 3 minutes away and the main beach a leisurely 8 minutes away. There is off-road parking for one car. Your fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price.

Weymouth is a busy seaside town and lies on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. Weymouth's golden sandy beach has received the Quality Coast Award. This is because of good quality water, well-developed facilities and beach supervision. There are plenty of supermarkets and a variety of shops. There is a wide choice of cafes and restaurants, offering a range of cuisines. As a result, you are spoilt for choice. Weymouth is famous for its fresh seafood. You can often see the local fishermen unloading their daily catch from the Harbour. It is from the harbour that you can pick up boat tours. These include a tour of the Jurassic coast and a water taxi from Weymouth to Portland.
Weymouth Attractions and Activities
Lodmoor Country Park is fantastic for the children and adults to explore and rest for a picnic. In addition, try your hand at crazy golf or let the children drive in the little go-kart track. Let the children loose in the Pirate Ship Play Park or the Green Gym. Slide down the wonky slide or walk the dog through the woodland paths. RSPB Nature Reserve is next to Lodmoore Park displaying details of all the Marsh birds in the area. Also, there is a cafe for refreshments after all the exploring. Sandworld is by the cycle path at Lodmoor park. Be amazed at the awesome sculptures made by local artists. You can let the children take turns to make their own sand sculpture. In addition, view smaller displays along the seafront. In conclusion, the attention to detail that goes into these will amaze you.
The Sea Life Centre is full of marine animals and much much more. The Centre is jam-packed full of fun rides and activities for the children. There are also rides galore along the seafront with arcades that stay open in the evenings. A little train will take you along the length of the seafront. Here you will find Donkey rides on the beach are available. Punch and Judy play on the seafront during the summer. A short walk away is the Nothe Fort which holds events for both adults and children. Weymouth is well known for the Red Arrows display which happens on Carnival Day. You can watch the action from the beach and see the fireworks from the bay. At night, colourful lasers light up the seafront and the promenade. The Pavillion theatre holds regular live shows.
