Harbour Lights, an impressive modern and spacious house, was created to maximise the impressive south-facing views over West Bay and Lyme Bay.  Set to the backdrop of the spectacular Jurassic Coastline and finished to the highest standard with a quality feel throughout, this is the ideal base from which to explore the magic of the area and to enjoy an unforgettable holiday by the sea.  The house, with its Corian work surfaces, marble and wooden floors exudes a contemporary but stylish appeal that will please all guests.  The town centre is an easy walk away and there you will find a good selection of cafes, restaurants and pubs.  The Electric Palace Cinema and Bridport Arts Centre are worthy of checking for great entertainment, as is the twice-weekly street markets on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The beach at West Bay is only seven minutes walk along the former railway line that is adjacent to Harbour Lights.  

West Bay, famous as the setting of the television series Broadchurch, is reachable by foot via the local footpath or a short car journey.  Other popular destinations such as Weymouth or Lyme Regis can be accessed easily by car.  This location is a perfect base from which to explore Dorset's coast and countryside. The famous swannery and botanical gardens in the village of Abbotsbury is a short drive away. Nearby Burton Bradstock has a beach as well as the very popular Hive Beach Cafe which is set on the impressive eighteen mile-long stretch of Chesil beach, which runs from Portland to West Bay.  Slightly further afield is the popular seaside town of Charmouth where you will find the Jurassic Heritage Centre.  There is easy access to the South West Coast Path which runs along this stretch of stunning coastline and the region offers opportunities for fossil hunting, walking, fishing and many other activities.


Entrance hallway leads to an impressive open-plan kitchen/diner with island unit and fully fitted kitchen. Built in cooker, ceramic hob and American style fridge freezer serving chilled water and ice. Coffee machine, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Sliding patio doors lead to the large sun terrace. The dining area and table seats10 guests with sea views, sofa and sliding doors to the patio area. Lounge with multiple seater sofas for ten people, Flat screen TV, DVD and CD radio. Sliding patio doors from the lounge open onto the sun terrace with sea views. Ground floor cloakroom with WC and wash hand basin. Stairs to the first floor and Bedroom 1 with King size bed, sea views and en-suite shower room. Bedroom 2 with single trundle bed which adapts to be a twin room and sea views. Family bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Bedroom 3 with King size bed and sea views. Stairs to second floor and Bedroom 4 with twin 3ft single beds and sea views. Bedroom 5 with 4ft 6inch double bed, en-suite shower room and sea views with glass Juliet balcony and doors.


Lounge and kitchen lead to a large sun terrace and a big garden with sea views over West Bay and Lyme Bay. Outdoor seating comprising of ten-seater table and benches. Additional garden seating available as reclining chairs.


Off-road parking for multiple cars at the front of the property.

With the stunning golden glow of the majestic sandstone cliffs, West Bay is the" Golden Gateway" to the Jurassic Coast. West Bay offers some stunning landscapes to explore, with breathtaking views from its cliff tops. The village features in the Good Beach Guide as achieving the highest award for seawater quality. East Beach stretches as far as you can see along Chesil Beach to Portland Bill. West Beach is ideal for younger children as it has a protective cove and is sandy. In the summer, a lifeguard service watches over the waters of both beaches. The town, harbour, and beach were the location for the series Broadchurch which has made this previously hidden gem even more popular with visitors.
