Hengist Beach House is a fabulous detached property nestled within the suburb of Tuckton within the bustling coastal resort town of Bournemouth. The property features four bedrooms, both a bathroom and a shower room, and is suitable to sleep eight people. Inside you can find a kitchen area, dining room, first-floor sitting room with bar area, and a spacious conservatory with a heated swimming pool. Outside is a lawned back garden as well as a balcony overlooking the countryside of Bournemouth. Hengist Beach House is a great property for large families or a group of friends looking for an action-packed adventure near the seafront.
Just a short walk to the coast of Southbourne, Hengist Beach House is a delightful property offering views of a golf course, a beautiful nature reserve and plenty of rolling countryside, the perfect day out for the sports lovers of the group while the sun worshipers laze on the beach.
Kick off your shoes on the porch and wheel your suitcases into the large hallway before deciding who’s sleeping where; with two bedrooms downstairs and two upstairs, this property allows access for a variety of individuals. Before you unpack, head to the kitchen for a bite to eat, with a shop just a short drive away, you’ll be able to whip up anything you fancy in this clean and crisp area. Head on through the second door and into the conservatory, with ample seating for everyone, it’s a lovely sunny room to enjoy whilst the kids splash about in the indoor heated pool; everything you could possibly want from a holiday. For more formal meals, or a spot of fish and chips from Simon’s around the corner, the dining room is a delightful room to gather, particularly in the winter months with its feature gas coal-effect fire at the centre amongst a ravishing white brick wall; snug and splendid.
In the evenings, the first-floor sitting room is a wonderful area to unwind, both spacious and stylish with its own balcony overlooking the magnificent views, it’s an idyllic space to spend quality time with your loved ones. The back garden is a lovely enclosed lawned area for the dog to get its exercise while you relax with a cup of tea before starting your adventure into Bournemouth for the day.
Just a short walk to the beach, be sure to stop off at the Hengistbury Visitor Centre, a beautiful coastal nature reserve and conservation area boasting flourishing flowers and signs of ancient settlement. It’s a lovely place to get an insight into the past and current history and lands of Bournemouth. Southbourne Beach is the perfect place to catch some waves, a Blue Flag award-winning area for its clean shingles and sand, with Fisherman’s Walk offering a wondrous woodland walk, it’s no wonder it’s so popular with families from all over. Be sure to end your day at the Bistro on the Beach for delicious local seafood. Slightly further out is the town of Christchurch, boasting a beautiful priory church, seen from the Beach House, and Highcliffe Castle, its own quay, and amusements that are fun for all the family, it’s well worth a trip.

Christchurch lies between the beautiful New Forest National Park and Bournemouth. Visit the area for the beaches which extend for four miles and are beautiful golden sand. The nearby villages of Highcliffe and Mudeford offer fantastic opportunities for crab fishing. Highcliffe Beach and Friars Cliffe are safe for swimming. The town has an array of shops in the pedestrianized Saxon square as well as a weekly market. Christchurch has a variety of cafes and pubs around the Quay, relax and soak up the tranquil atmosphere. Christchurch plays host to the Food and Wine Festival in May and has over 100 stalls. Join the atmosphere of the Music Festival on the first weekend of July. Catch the Annual Regatta held on the second week of August which ends with a superb fireworks display.
Activities and Attraction
Take a boat to the vast Nature reserve of Brownsea Island owned by the National Trust. Try Watermans Adventure Park catering for different age groups. Or, for family fun then Christchurch Quay and Splash Park cater for all ages. Adventure Wonderland is a great park catering to younger children. We have visited several times and it always goes down well and we stay until closing! Christchurch and Highcliffe Castle are a must for history lovers with Highcliffe Castle having a cafe to relax in after your tour.
