Located in the beautiful village of Worth Matravers, this property has wide-reaching views of the local countryside and glimpses of the sea. Situated on a no-through lane, it is a quiet location; however, being on a path to the sea, it is ideally positioned as a base for exploration of the local area. The coast is only a mile away and the bustling centre of Swanage is 4 miles away. Worth Matravers itself is quaint with a stunning little church and duck pond with dazzling views of the local downs. If you happen to be here in autumn, check out the Pumpkin Festival held at the local pub, where you can see pumpkins as big as tables!

This stunning single-level home has an open plan layout that is designed to make the most of its surroundings. Bringing the outside space inside with tri-fold doors makes the large property feel even more spacious and airy. From the hall with storage for coats and boots, enter into the open-plan room which houses the kitchen, dining area and sitting area. This is a very generously sized property encompassing all that is family holidays and family living.

The exterior of this property is stunning with the front garden being a combination of a gated gravelled parking area and a large sloping lawn garden with flowers, shrubs, trees, and even a trampoline. The rear multi-level garden has glimpses of the sea and it boasts a large decking area for seating and a summer house with a selection of children’s games.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Worth Matravers

Worth Matravers is a very small, quaint and very pretty village near Swanage. It is set around a big duck pond and surrounded by limestone cottages and farmhouses. If you are looking for a peaceful setting for your stay then this is it. The village has a community feel to it. Here you will find the original village shop, a post office and a pub serving home-cooked food and local ale. Discover the tearooms and soak up the local atmosphere. The village is near to the limestone cliffs that form part of the South West Coast Path and the Jurassic Coast. In fact, there are many coastal paths that will lead to the rocky, but unspoilt beaches. These are Winspit, Seacombe and Chapmans Pool. All are suitable for paddling and as a result, is a very popular destination for ramblers.

The villages of Langton Matravers and Harmans Cross are a short walk away. While the seaside town of Swanage is a little further in the car. Putlake Adventure farm is in Langton Matravers. This combines the best of the weather forecast. For instance, soft play for the rainy days and meeting the animals on the working farm on a sunny day. Keates Quarry is part of the National Trusts oldest sites. This shows at least 100 footprints made by dinosaurs 140 million years ago. Visit the ruins of Corfe Castle, owned by the National Trust. Or for the adventurous type, then Dorset Adventure Park is definitely for you. Try out the Wet and Wild assault course on water or the muddy trail. Adventurous adults and children can have a fun-filled day with the backdrop of Corfe Castle.
