Jordan House is a delightfully airy and spacious three bedroom house situated in a beautifully secluded position, alongside the pretty riverside walk, in the historic part of Old Town Lyme Regis. The shops, restaurants and beach are just a 5 minute easy walk away, making this property a perfect choice for guests who would like the convenience of local amenities but still seeking a tranquil location from which to enjoy a peace and quiet.  This Grade II listed period property, full of character and well equipped, is perfect for groups and families of all ages with the convenience of private parking for up to 4 cars.

Within a ten minute walk, guests can meander down to Lyme Regis bustling seafront and promenade. Often referred to as the ‘Pearl of Dorset’, Lyme Regis is well known for its literary association with Jane Austen as well as its diverse geology which people from across the world flock to in the hunt for fossils. The historic old town retains an olde worlde charm with small streets filled with galleries, boutique shops and famed gastro restaurants and cafés.  Its sheltered south-facing beaches are safe for children and water sports enthusiasts alike with great fishing and leisure boat opportunities available from the Cobb harbour.  For those who would like a change of scene and a day away from the beach, the surrounding rolling countryside, which is an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, boasts walking and cycling in abundance or perhaps while away a few days exploring pretty East Devon fishing villages such as Beer and Branscombe or head to the market town of Axminster to sample Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s River Cottage Canteen.

Entrance door and porch lead to the Lounge with Smart TV, Sony Bluetooth/CD player, DVD, films and PlayStation with games. Extensive bookshelf and cupboard with a compendium of games. Feature fireplace, comfortable seating, dining table and chairs for 8 people. Cupboard storage for a pool table and table soccer. The modern kitchen is well equipped with a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, gas hob, electric double oven, radio/i-pod dock. Stairs to the first-floor Bedroom 1 with King Size Bed, feature fireplace and a view of the old town, Smart TV. Family bathroom with shower over bath, WC and washbasin. Utility/drying room with Zanussi washing machine and tumble dryer. Stairs to the second floor, Bedroom 2 with 4ft 6inch double bed and TV. Bedroom 3 sleeps four with Twin 3ft Beds (can zip together to make 6ft King size ) and Full Size Bunks, also with original fireplace and a pretty view of the old town. Shower Room with WC and washbasin. All bedrooms have blackout blinds (or shutters).

Outside:

To the rear of the property is a wonderful patio garden, fully enclosed and equipped with a large outdoor dining table, bench, chairs and a BBQ– a lovely spot to spend an evening with a glass of wine, whilst listening to the nearby river meandering past.

To the front of the property there is a small patio and a wooden wendy house for the children with outdoor table and seating along with storage for beach accessories.

Off-road parking is available up to 4 small cars or 2 large vehicles outside the property.

Lyme Regis

Lyme Regis, nicknamed 'The Pearl of Dorset' lies on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast and is near Charmouth and the Devon border. Lyme Regis is a historic seaside resort and fishing port and boasts breathtaking scenery, making it a resort for all seasons. The town is famous for its fossils, often found on its beaches and cliffs. In fact, it was in the cliffs that the famous Ichthyosaur was discovered by Mary Anning, the daughter of a local fossil collector. She went on to find a complete Plesiosaur and the well-preserved remains of a flying reptile. Book a fossil walks with local experts to ensure you are both safe and full of knowledge by the end. The famous harbour wall known as 'The Cobb' featured in the film and novel of The French Lieutenant's Woman.

Lyme Regis is a great place to eat out and has a wide variety covering the globe as well as price. From traditional fish and chips to Asian fusion, Indian, Italian, Spanish and British.
