Description

Junaidu is the ideal holiday home for families and friends due to its superb central location in Lyme Regis. You can park the car and walk to everything in Lyme Regis from the property. Catering for up to 8 guests with a dog, the cottage has generous sized bedrooms to complement the lounge and dining areas, has a well-equipped kitchen and located only a few minutes walk from the sandy beach and promenade. The cottage is easily accessible and a stone's throw from the world-famous Jurassic Coast of Lyme Bay, famous for its far-reaching sea views and fossil hunting beaches.

This is the perfect base from which to explore West Dorset and East Devon. Lyme Regis includes celebrity chef Mark Hix's superb Oyster and Seafood Restaurant, along with many other restaurants, cafes, pubs and tearooms. A wide selection of independent shops, as well as an award-winning museum, and small theatre can be found. For the more adventurous the South West Coast Path heads west through the amazing Undercliff between Lyme Regis and Axmouth, or east towards Charmouth and the magnificent National Trust land at Golden Cap.

Accommodation:

Front door leads to the hallway. Off the hall is the Dining room with seating for 8 guests. Kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, tumble dryer, separate fridge and freezer. The lounge has Flatscreen TV with built in DVD player, Free Sat TV and two large sofas. Ground floor wet room with walk in shower, washbasin and WC. Small utility area with washing machine. Stairs lead to the first floor. Bedroom 1 with 4ft 6inch double bed. Bedroom 2 with 3ft bunk beds. Family bathroom with shower over bath, washbasin and WC. Stairs to the second floor. Bedroom 3 with 4ft 6inch double bed. Bedroom 4 with twin 3ft single beds.

Outside:

Access from the kitchen to a small raised patio area with picnic bench. 13 steps up to the garden.

Parking:

There is no parking with the property but the nearest public parking is only 5 minute’s walk uphill. The closest long stay car park in Lyme Regis is Charmouth Road (DT7 3DW).

Lyme Regis, nicknamed 'The Pearl of Dorset' lies on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast and is near Charmouth and the Devon border. Lyme Regis is a historic seaside resort and fishing port and boasts breathtaking scenery, making it a resort for all seasons. The town is famous for its fossils, often found on its beaches and cliffs. In fact, it was in the cliffs that the famous Ichthyosaur was discovered by Mary Anning, the daughter of a local fossil collector. She went on to find a complete Plesiosaur and the well-preserved remains of a flying reptile. Book a fossil walks with local experts to ensure you are both safe and full of knowledge by the end. The famous harbour wall known as 'The Cobb' featured in the film and novel of The French Lieutenant's Woman.

Lyme Regis is a great place to eat out and has a wide variety covering the globe as well as price. From traditional fish and chips to Asian fusion, Indian, Italian, Spanish and British.
