This charming Victorian cottage has stunning countryside views across the Char Valley, an area of outstanding natural beauty. The wonderful rural setting can be appreciated from most aspects of the property and particularly enjoyed from the terrace area, looking towards the coast. The cottage is ideally suited to those seeking a countryside location close to the sea or walkers who will be drawn to this wonderful spot by the wealth of countryside nearby. Anyone wanting to discover the local area by car will find themselves well placed to explore the many attractions of East Devon, West Dorset and the Jurassic Coast. The owner's residence and artists' studios are next to the cottage which shares an environmentally friendly reed bed system and spring water pumped from a well in the garden.

Little Goyle is an excellent choice for family or friends and less than a 10-minute drive from the picturesque seaside town of Lyme Regis. The Jurassic Coast is a must-visit for anyone interested in fossil hunting, geology, history, photography and exploring the stunning coastal scenery. For those that enjoy a culinary treat, the highly commended HIX restaurant is located in Lyme Regis and the celebrity chef Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's River Cottage shop and restaurant are also only a short drive away in Axminster.

Bedroom 1 Double 4ft 6inch bed with views across the valley. Ensuite shower room with washbasin and WC.
Bedroom 2 Zip-link 3ft twin beds (King size bed can be made upon request when booking). Views across the countryside.
Family bathroom with shower over bath, wash basin and WC.

Outside:

Private outdoor seating area in a peaceful setting with views of the valley.

Parking:

Parking for 2 cars on the driveway, immediately outside the cottage.

  • Pets: Two well behaved small sized dogs considered, welcome in public areas of property only (not bedrooms). Pet Charge: £30.00 per pet per week.
  • Dogs: If you are bringing a dog please ensure that, as outlined in the booking conditions, it is not left unattended in the property, that it is not allowed in the bedrooms or on the furniture and that any dog mess is cleared from the outside area before departure.
  • Wifi: Please note that download speeds in the South West vary from area to area.
  • Food deliveries: The owner of this cottage is happy to accept and un-pack supermarket delivery orders on your behalf on the day of arrival. This service is arranged directly with the owner.

Lyme Regis

Lyme Regis, nicknamed 'The Pearl of Dorset' lies on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast and is near Charmouth and the Devon border. Lyme Regis is a historic seaside resort and fishing port and boasts breathtaking scenery, making it a resort for all seasons. The town is famous for its fossils, often found on its beaches and cliffs. In fact, it was in the cliffs that the famous Ichthyosaur was discovered by Mary Anning, the daughter of a local fossil collector. She went on to find a complete Plesiosaur and the well-preserved remains of a flying reptile. Book a fossil walks with local experts to ensure you are both safe and full of knowledge by the end. The famous harbour wall known as 'The Cobb' featured in the film and novel of The French Lieutenant's Woman.

Lyme Regis is a great place to eat out and has a wide variety covering the globe as well as price. From traditional fish and chips to Asian fusion, Indian, Italian, Spanish and British. For foodies try Robin Wylde and their amazing taste menus. The Whole Hog will have you feeling full with excellent roasts while Red Panda offers Asian as well as a traditional British menu.
