A brand new, modern holiday home in the heart of Lyme Regis only a short walk from the local amenities, fabulous seafront, beach and harbour. This modern, light and airy property offer ease of movement, cleverly designed with a unique spiral staircase that leads to a delightful bedroom and sea views. The open-plan living area and fitted kitchen are complemented with french doors which are perfect for opening in warmer climes and a modern heating system makes this a wonderful year-round retreat from which to explore the area. Lyme Regis is set in a beautiful valley and the walk to the beach and town from the property is downhill and along the river. The route back to Little Lucerne through the pretty gardens, town and river can be steep in places.

As well as the historic Cobb and promenade, Lyme Regis includes celebrity chef Mark Hix's superb Oyster and Seafood Restaurant, along with many other restaurants, cafes, pubs and tearooms. The town is a wonderful location for those seeking a traditional seaside break with a wide selection of shops, an award-winning museum, and a small theatre. For the more adventurous the South West Coast Path heads west through the amazing Undercliff to Axmouth or east towards Charmouth and the magnificent National Trust land at Golden Cap. If you are planning a holiday without a car, the mainline railway station in nearby Axminster is served by a regular bus service (or taxis), to and from the town.

At the side of the property there is private off-road parking for 1 vehicle.

Lyme Regis

Lyme Regis, nicknamed 'The Pearl of Dorset' lies on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast and is near Charmouth and the Devon border. Lyme Regis is a historic seaside resort and fishing port and boasts breathtaking scenery, making it a resort for all seasons. The town is famous for its fossils, often found on its beaches and cliffs. In fact, it was in the cliffs that the famous Ichthyosaur was discovered by Mary Anning, the daughter of a local fossil collector. She went on to find a complete Plesiosaur and the well-preserved remains of a flying reptile. Book a fossil walks with local experts to ensure you are both safe and full of knowledge by the end. The famous harbour wall known as 'The Cobb' featured in the film and novel of The French Lieutenant's Woman.

Lyme Regis is a great place to eat out and has a wide variety covering the globe as well as price. From traditional fish and chips to Asian fusion, Indian, Italian, Spanish and British. For foodies try Robin Wylde and their amazing taste menus. The Whole Hog will have you feeling full with excellent roasts while Red Panda offers Asian as well as a traditional British menu.
