Description

Ideally placed for touring the picturesque countryside and coastline of West Dorset, this stylish property is conveniently set beside the A353. There are many attractions within easy reach including the much-photographed Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door and Ringstead Bay. Within a short drive is a popular cliffside pub and also a farm shop or you can visit the many shops, restaurants and cafes in nearby Weymouth, which also boasts a traditional esplanade and sandy beach. Weymouth’s historic harbour is well worth a visit, as is Nothe Fort. Heading further along the coast to the west you can explore the pretty village of Abbotsbury, where there are subtropical gardens and a swannery.

A slope and external staircase takes you from the parking area to the entrance into this contemporary first-floor apartment. The stable door brings you into a beautiful king-size bedroom with a vaulted ceiling. A door leads from here to the en-suite shower room with WC. Just next door is a spacious open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Take time out to relax in this stylish space, which has been carefully decorated in a contemporary style. You can enjoy relaxed meals for two around the table, before settling down with a programme on the TV. The kitchen area is well equipped and offers an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Due to the setting, within the eaves, there are some areas of restricted head height throughout the property. Bi-fold doors give access from the lounge area to a balcony with furniture and fantastic views.

An external spiral staircase leads to the enclosed garden, which has an area of lawn and terrace with a hot tub. On a clear day, from the balcony and spy hole in the garden, you can enjoy distant sea views right out across the bay. An off-road parking space is available for one vehicle to the side of the property, within a shared parking area.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Area Details

Osmington

Osmington is a small village with narrow streets lined with picturesque thatched cottages. The village is very popular with walkers wanting to see the White Horse ingrained in the hillside. Built in 1808 to honour King George III, who was a frequent visitor to the area. The figure on the hillside depicts the King riding a horse who sadly did not survive long enough to see this famous landmark.

Osmington Mills is a 10-minute walk along the coast path. Soak in the stunning views along the way. Visit the very pretty and very popular pub The Smugglers. The pub tells tales of the French smuggler, Pierre Latour, in the 17th century. Sit back, take in the stunning views and the excellent home-cooked food. It is well worth a visit.
