Centrally located just a short walk from Weymouth’s seafront Neve’s is an end-terrace Dorset holiday cottage. Less than one minute from the front door you will reach Weymouth’s award-winning blue flag long and sandy beach with shallow waters and a traditional donkey rides, Punch and Judy show and ice cream kiosks. With a good variety of eating out choices, from simple fish and chips to gourmet harbour-side seafood restaurants you can spend your days out without worrying about preparing meals on your return.

Property Details

Neves is centrally located in Weymouth just a few minutes walk away from the seafront. The cottage benefits from two off-road parking spaces, two lounges and two shower rooms and was fully renovated in 2015. All of the facilities in Weymouth such as the restaurants, shops, cafes, the sandy beach and pubs are all within walking distance. If you wish to explore further afield for the day you will be spoilt for choice with Monkey World, the Tank Museum, Lulworth Cove, several country houses and gardens and the whole World Heritage Jurassic Coast to explore.

The accommodation at Neves comprises of a hall leading to an open plan lounge/diner equipped with Sky TV, Blu-ray player, CD music system, WiFi and open fire as well as a dining table with seating for six. The kitchen is well equipped with oven, electric hob and a grill, microwave, toaster, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and kettle. A shower room with basin and toilet rounds off the ground floor. Up to the first floor where you will find the second bathroom with bath, shower, basin and toilet. Up a quarter flight of stairs to bedroom one which can be arranged as a super king-size double or as a twin depending on your needs and bedroom 2 is a king-size double. Upstairs to the second floor where you will find the second lounge. A cot and highchair can be made available.

Outside is a small patio garden with a picnic bench. There are two off-road parking spaces. Your fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price.

Weymouth is a busy seaside town and lies on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. Weymouth's golden sandy beach has received the Quality Coast Award. This is because of good quality water, well-developed facilities and beach supervision. There are plenty of supermarkets and a variety of shops. There is a wide choice of cafes and restaurants, offering a range of cuisines. As a result, you are spoilt for choice. Weymouth is famous for its fresh seafood. You can often see the local fishermen unloading their daily catch from the Harbour. It is from the harbour that you can pick up boat tours. These include a tour of the Jurassic coast and a water taxi from Weymouth to Portland.

Weymouth Attractions and Activities

Lodmoor Country Park is fantastic for the children and adults to explore and rest for a picnic. In addition, try your hand at crazy golf or let the children drive in the little go-kart track. Let the children loose in the Pirate Ship Play Park or the Green Gym. Slide down the wonky slide or walk the dog through the woodland paths. RSPB Nature Reserve is next to Lodmoore Park displaying details of all the Marsh birds in the area. Also, there is a cafe for refreshments after all the exploring. Sandworld is by the cycle path at Lodmoor park. Be amazed at the awesome sculptures made by local artists. You can let the children take turns to make their own sand sculpture. In addition, view smaller displays along the seafront. In conclusion, the attention to detail that goes into these will amaze you.

The Sea Life Centre is full of marine animals and much much more. The Centre is jam-packed full of fun rides and activities for the children. There are also rides galore along the seafront with arcades that stay open in the evenings. A little train will take you along the length of the seafront. Here you will find Donkey rides on the beach are available. Punch and Judy play on the seafront during the summer. A short walk away is the Nothe Fort which holds events for both adults and children. Weymouth is well known for the Red Arrows display which happens on Carnival Day. You can watch the action from the beach and see the fireworks from the bay. At night, colourful lasers light up the seafront and the promenade. The Pavillion theatre holds regular live shows.
