With partial sea views through the trees towards Newton's Cove, popular with the locals for its peace and tranquillity. Newton's Cove is excellent for rock pooling or just sit and relax on one of the many benches and admire what is sailing past in Portland Harbour. Nothe Gardens backs onto the property with a large open grassed area, pretty shrubs and trees and coastal walks, the perfect place for a family picnic. Nearby Hope Square has many restaurants, pubs and cafes to choose from with many having an outside dining option so you can soak up the atmosphere. Next comes the Old Harbour where you can go on a fishing trip or just watch the fishing boats and luxury yachts come in and out. Cross the town bridge and arrive at the award-winning sandy beach. Take in the views, explore the Sea Life Centre, enjoy Punch and Judy or a donkey ride or just relax for an afternoon.

The accommodation at Newton's Cove View is accessed via one flight of stairs and comprises of a sitting/dining room with TV, DVD/CD player, WiFi, dining table with seating for six and 2 walls of glass in which to admire the views. The kitchen comes equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. There are two bedrooms arranged as a king-size double and a twin and a bathroom with bath with shower over, basin and toilet. A cot and highchair can be provided upon request.

Outside are communal gardens. There is an allocated parking space within an electronically gated parking area. Your fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price.

Weymouth is a busy seaside town and lies on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. Weymouth's golden sandy beach has received the Quality Coast Award. This is because of good quality water, well-developed facilities and beach supervision. There are plenty of supermarkets and a variety of shops. There is a wide choice of cafes and restaurants, offering a range of cuisines. As a result, you are spoilt for choice. Weymouth is famous for its fresh seafood. You can often see the local fishermen unloading their daily catch from the Harbour. It is from the harbour that you can pick up boat tours. These include a tour of the Jurassic coast and a water taxi from Weymouth to Portland.

Weymouth Attractions and Activities

Lodmoor Country Park is fantastic for the children and adults to explore and rest for a picnic. In addition, try your hand at crazy golf or let the children drive in the little go-kart track. Let the children loose in the Pirate Ship Play Park or the Green Gym. Slide down the wonky slide or walk the dog through the woodland paths. RSPB Nature Reserve is next to Lodmoore Park displaying details of all the Marsh birds in the area. Also, there is a cafe for refreshments after all the exploring. Sandworld is by the cycle path at Lodmoor park. Be amazed at the awesome sculptures made by local artists. You can let the children take turns to make their own sand sculpture. In addition, view smaller displays along the seafront. In conclusion, the attention to detail that goes into these will amaze you.

The Sea Life Centre is full of marine animals and much much more. The Centre is jam-packed full of fun rides and activities for the children. There are also rides galore along the seafront with arcades that stay open in the evenings. A little train will take you along the length of the seafront. Here you will find Donkey rides on the beach are available. Punch and Judy play on the seafront during the summer. A short walk away is the Nothe Fort which holds events for both adults and children. Weymouth is well known for the Red Arrows display which happens on Carnival Day. You can watch the action from the beach and see the fireworks from the bay. At night, colourful lasers light up the seafront and the promenade. The Pavillion theatre holds regular live shows.
