Pitt Cottage is a thatched stone cottage situated just outside the village of Ringstead near to the town of Weymouth in Dorset and benefits from panoramic sea views. The cottage can sleep 6 people in 2 twin and 1 super-king with en-suite bath bedroom as well as a family bathroom. The rest of the cottage is made up of a fitted kitchen/diner and a sitting room with open fire. To the outside of the cottage is off road parking for 4 cars and a lawned garden. Pitt Cottage is a wonderful retreat to a quiet location for families close to the sea.
Set in half an acre of land and having commanding sea views, Pitt Cottage is a picture postcard thatched cottage offering complete seclusion. Sweeping lawns with hedges reinforce the privacy and a wooded area to the rear attracts birds and wildlife. Breathtaking sunsets and sunrises await you at Pitt Cottage.
On the ground floor, the accommodation comprises of a large hallway that leads to a kitchen/diner which includes a washer/dryer, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. The lounge has an open fire, sea views and has a television with DVD and CD player. Patio doors lead out to the garden.
Up steeper than normal stairs to the first floor where bedrooms one and two are twins and bedroom three has a super kingsize double with en-suite bathroom, with bath, separate shower hand basin and toilet. There is also a portable "Z" bed. The family bathroom has a bath, hand basin and toilet.
Outside the gardens run to half an acre with sweeping lawns and a wooded area towards the rear. There is parking for four cars.

Ringstead is a small hamlet dominated by Ringstead Bay and beach and is part of the Jurassic Coast. The beach is a mix of pebble and shingle with some sand. You can often find rock pools at the Western end of the beach at low tide. There is a reef close to shore which becomes revealed at low tide. Therefore, the beach can be a good place to look for fossils. A shop and cafe are available in the car park for the beach. For those that are windsurfing from here please note the reef has no respect for fins. I have lost count the number of times I have connected with it. Ringstead has excellent views of Weymouth and Portland. It is an excellent base for walking with many options open to you including continuing on to Durdle Door. The Smuggler’s pub at Osmington Mills is the next village on. This is within easy walking distance along a coast path so you don’t have to resort to taking to the car if you don’t want to.
