Pixie is a pretty terraced cottage situated just outside the harbour in Weymouth, in Dorset. The cottage can sleep 4 people in 1 double and 1 twin room as well as a family bathroom. The rest of the cottage is made up of a fitted kitchen diner and a sitting room with an electric woodburning effect stove. To the outside of the cottage is on street parking and a small courtyard. Pixie Cottage is perfectly located for a family holiday in the seaside town of Weymouth, Dorset.

Pixie Cottage is a small, terraced cottage brilliantly situated in the seaside town of Weymouth. Close to Brewers Quay and Hope Square you will have choices of where to eat out right on your doorstep. Within a short walk brings you to Weymouth's award-winning sandy beach and a whole lot more choice of where to eat. Newton's Cove is just around the corner, an excellent place to go rock pooling or take a stroll along the harbour to see what the fishermen have caught that day.

The accommodation at Pixie Cottage comprises of an open plan lounge/kitchen/diner with a flat-screen TV, DVD player, CD music system and WiFi. The kitchen has a gas hob and oven, microwave, fridge with icebox and a washing machine. There is a dining table with chairs for four. The bathroom is on the ground floor with a bath with shower over, basin and toilet. Up the steep, narrow stairs to the first floor where there are two bedrooms, a double and a twin.

Weymouth is a busy seaside town and lies on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. Weymouth's golden sandy beach has received the Quality Coast Award. This is because of good quality water, well-developed facilities and beach supervision. There are plenty of supermarkets and a variety of shops. There is a wide choice of cafes and restaurants, offering a range of cuisines. As a result, you are spoilt for choice. Weymouth is famous for its fresh seafood. You can often see the local fishermen unloading their daily catch from the Harbour. It is from the harbour that you can pick up boat tours. These include a tour of the Jurassic coast and a water taxi from Weymouth to Portland.

Weymouth Attractions and Activities

Lodmoor Country Park is fantastic for the children and adults to explore and rest for a picnic. In addition, try your hand at crazy golf or let the children drive in the little go-kart track. Let the children loose in the Pirate Ship Play Park or the Green Gym. Slide down the wonky slide or walk the dog through the woodland paths. RSPB Nature Reserve is next to Lodmoore Park displaying details of all the Marsh birds in the area. Also, there is a cafe for refreshments after all the exploring. Sandworld is by the cycle path at Lodmoor park. Be amazed at the awesome sculptures made by local artists. You can let the children take turns to make their own sand sculpture. In addition, view smaller displays along the seafront. In conclusion, the attention to detail that goes into these will amaze you.

The Sea Life Centre is full of marine animals and much much more. The Centre is jam-packed full of fun rides and activities for the children. There are also rides galore along the seafront with arcades that stay open in the evenings. A little train will take you along the length of the seafront. Here you will find Donkey rides on the beach are available. Punch and Judy play on the seafront during the summer. A short walk away is the Nothe Fort which holds events for both adults and children. Weymouth is well known for the Red Arrows display which happens on Carnival Day. You can watch the action from the beach and see the fireworks from the bay. At night, colourful lasers light up the seafront and the promenade. The Pavillion theatre holds regular live shows.
