Rosy Lodge is a single-storey lodge on Shorefield Country Park. The lodge is single-storey and has two doubles, a twin room and a twin room with smaller beds, suitable for children. There is a bathroom, and an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside is off road parking for two cars and a private deck with furniture. The 100 acres of landscaped park are available to explore, and a pass can be purchased which gives access to the many on-site facilities including swimming pools, gym, tennis court, play areas, bar and restaurant. Pets are welcome, so the whole family can enjoy their time here. Rosy Lodge makes an ideal base for enjoying the New Forest, a day trip to the Isle of Wight, Bournemouth and more.

Property Details

A detached timber lodge, quietly situated within the award-winning family-friendly Shorefield Country Park, only 1.5 miles from Milford on Sea. The lodge provides comfortable, open plan holiday accommodation, furnished and equipped with everything you need to create a really pleasant family holiday experience.

There's plenty of room for your whole group to relax and dine, whilst the fitted kitchen comes fully equipped to prepare delicious meals and snacks, and a dishwasher to relieve you from the washing up afterwards! Outside is a private decked patio where you can sit out and plan your day's activities.

Should you wish to take advantage of the many leisure activities on offer within the park, just pop down to the reception area and purchase a pass which gives access to the indoor and outdoor pools, gym, restaurant, bar, and seasonal entertainment, as well as play areas for the younger members of your group.

Fishermen will love the well-stocked carp lake which is just a minute's walk away, plus there are many opportunities for sea fishing along the coast.

When you tire of all on offer within the park, venture out and enjoy a picnic in the nearby New Forest National Park, take the ferry from Lymington to the Isle of Wight, walk the coastal path to Lymington, enjoy the nightlife of Bournemouth or just take your buckets and spades and walk down to the beach at Milford on Sea.

Then, after all the excitement, return to your homely lodge for refreshments before you snuggle up in the cosy beds.

Area Details

Christchurch

Christchurch lies between the beautiful New Forest National Park and Bournemouth. Visit the area for the beaches which extend for four miles and are beautiful golden sand. The nearby villages of Highcliffe and Mudeford offer fantastic opportunities for crab fishing. Highcliffe Beach and Friars Cliffe are safe for swimming. The town has an array of shops in the pedestrianized Saxon square as well as a weekly market. Christchurch has a variety of cafes and pubs around the Quay, relax and soak up the tranquil atmosphere. Christchurch plays host to the Food and Wine Festival in May and has over 100 stalls. Join the atmosphere of the Music Festival on the first weekend of July. Catch the Annual Regatta held on the second week of August which ends with a superb fireworks display.

Activities and Attraction

Take a boat to the vast Nature reserve of Brownsea Island owned by the National Trust. Try Watermans Adventure Park catering for different age groups. Or, for family fun then Christchurch Quay and Splash Park cater for all ages. Adventure Wonderland is a great park catering to younger children. We have visited several times and it always goes down well and we stay until closing! Christchurch and Highcliffe Castle are a must for history lovers with Highcliffe Castle having a cafe to relax in after your tour.
