Seaview is a comfortable seaside cottage situated in the village of Preston near to the town of Weymouth in Dorset with wonderful sea views. The cottage can sleep 4 people in 1 twin and 1 double with en-suite shower bedrooms as well as a shower room. The rest of the cottage is made up of a fitted kitchen/dining/sitting room. There is off-road allocated parking for 1 car and unlimited roadside parking and a patio with garden furniture. Seaview is ideally placed family cottage for beach and exploring Jurassic coast.

Seaview is one of a few holiday cottages in a small complex in Preston, next to Weymouth, located just a couple of minutes away from the beach. As the name implies, it has stunning sea views across Weymouth Bay towards Portland which can be enjoyed from both inside and outside the property. Perfect for families wishing to enjoy a seaside holiday it will also make a great base to explore the area. Preston has a couple of shops and pubs but Weymouth is still just an easy walk along the beach for even more choice. Weymouth has a wonderful curving arc of golden, sandy beach that has been awarded a Blue Flag award consistently over the years. Adjacent to the town it allows easy access to the shops, restaurants and cafes. But there is so much to see and do in the town. Relax in Greenhill Gardens, Nothe Gardens or at Radipole Lake and Gardens. Go on a Jurassic Safari to discover parts of Dorset you wouldn't find yourself, or explore the harbour area and go on a fishing trip. Discover the restaurants and cafes around Brewers Quay and Hope Square. Explore the history of the 19th century Nothe Fort or find out about our marine life at the Sea Life Centre. Be amazed at the creations at Sandworld Sculpture Park or have fun at Lodmoor Country Park. All of this can be enjoyed with the whole family as Seaview also accepts one well-behaved dog.

The accommodation at Seaview comprises of an open plan living area with comfy seating, TV, DVD player and WiFi-enabled throughout. The kitchen/dining area comes equipped with a gas hob and electric oven, microwave, fridge and washer/dryer. There is a ground floor shower room with basin and toilet. There are two bedrooms arranged as a ground floor twin and an upstairs double with en-suite with bath with shower over, basin and toilet. A cot can be provided.

Outside is a patio area complete with picnic bench from which to plan your next day while enjoying the views. There is off-road parking for one car with further parking available on the road. Your fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price.

Preston

Preston is a small coastal village on the edge of Weymouth and close to Sutton Poyntz and Osmington. The village has 2 mini supermarkets, a fish and chip shop and its very own nature reserve. Preston has one Pub, The Spice Ship. The area is best known for Bowleaze Cove. This is a sand and shingle beach that is popular with families in the summer. In addition, the beach also has a slipway for launching small craft. There are many rock pools to explore at low tide and the area is popular for fishing. The cove also provides excellent views over Weymouth and is also home to the Riviera Hotel. Bowleaze Cove, painted by John Constable on his honeymoon, now hangs in the National Gallery. Overcombe Corner is a popular spot for windsurfers. This particular area gets some nice swells when the wind is in the right direction. For the children, Bowleaze has Weymouths biggest fun park Fantasy Island. The park has fun rides, amusements and soft play. In conclusion, this can often be a fantastic half or full day to amuse children or similarly, burn off their excess energy.
