Stables Cottage is a converted stable situated in the village of Long Bredy near Dorset’s Jurassic Coast. The cottage can sleep 4 people in 1 double and 1 single with truckle bedrooms as well as a bathroom with a walk-in shower. The rest of the cottage is made up of a kitchen/dining/sitting room with a woodburning stove. To the outside of the cottage is off road parking for 2 cars and a patio with garden furniture. Stables Cottage is suitable for walkers and families enjoying the countryside.

Stables Cottage is located in the very peaceful Dorset village of Long Bredy and is a conversion that still retains many traditional features including beams in the open plan living space with its wonderful wood burning stove making this a great all year round cottage choice. It has its own, secluded terrace that is a real sun trap a great place to watch the countryside views and listen to the wildlife. A secret swing seat has views across the coastline so although you are in the countryside coastal towns and villages such as Burton Bradstock, West Bay and Weymouth are all short drives away. The accommodation has been awarded the Mobility Impairment M2 award by Visit England, has a ramp to the front door, has no steps anywhere and has a bathroom suitable for guests with mobility impairment. The neighbouring village of Little Bredy is a must-visit when staying at this cottage, a wonderful countryside walk will take you to a waterfall and lake full of fish and ducks. Do take some bread with you as both will eat out of your hand.

The accommodation at Stables Cottage comprises of an open plan living, dining and kitchen area with wood burning stove with logs supplied throughout the year. WiFi is enabled throughout the cottage and the lounge has comfortable seating, a TV and DVD player. The kitchen is well equipped with electric hob and double oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, washer/dryer and dishwasher as well as a range of accessories and utensils. The dining area has a table and chairs for six and a small lobby is a perfect place to hang jackets and coats. There are two bedrooms, a double and a single with additional 2ft 6in pull-out second bed. The bathroom has a walk-in shower area, suitable for guests with mobility impairment, bath, hand basin and toilet. A cot can be provided upon request.

Outside you have your own sunny terrace complete with furniture and marvellous countryside views all the way to the sea. There is off road parking available for two cars. Your fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price.

West Bexington

West Bexington is a small pretty coastal village. Situated between the nearby villages of Abbotsbury and Burton Bradstock. The towns of Dorchester and Weymouth are 27 minutes away by car in opposite directions. The village is surrounded by National Trust land. Popular for its all-year-round fishing, you can very often catch mackerel off Chesil Beach in the summer and bass in the autumn. The area is a birdwatcher's paradise and great for ramblers discovering unseen treasures.

West Bexington offers the perfect spot to explore the South West Coast Path. Marvel at the spectacular views over Chesil and Weymouth beach. The village of Abbotsbury offers a few local shops. The Swannery in Abbotsbury is well worth a visit, for bird-lovers and you may even be lucky enough to spot a cygnet. Abbotsbury children's farm is a delight for any parent looking to entertain their children. Children can ride tractors, visit pets corner, and much more. There is a cafe which serves lunch and beverages so parents can sit and relax with a coffee while the children finish off the day with soft play.
