Sutton Poyntz

Sutton Poyntz is a traditional, very pretty village on the edge of Weymouth. Dotted with beautiful thatched cottages, this village really is a picture postcard. The Springhead pub has traditional home-cooked food and a very friendly atmosphere. There are two other pubs within walking distance, The Spice Ship and The Bridge. Being pretty much on the edge of Weymouth, however, you will never have a problem with choice. There are no shops in Sutton Poyntz but two convenience stores very close by along Preston Road.

There are many events organised throughout the year from plant sales and a scarecrow competition to a village barbecue and a cream tea afternoon. If you need to work off some calories after such an event there are plenty of walks on your doorstep with great views over the Osmington White Horse and the Jurassic Coastline along the Dorset coast.
