Description

The Little Sea House offers a rare opportunity to stay right on the sea's edge and enjoy a unique holiday like no other.  The chalet occupies a unique position at Monmouth Beach on one of the most stunningly beautiful parts of Dorset.  With its own decked area for al fresco eating and sunbathing, outdoor seating and a picnic table means you can enjoy breakfast and relaxing evenings with amazing and uninterrupted views across Lyme Bay, with Chesil Beach and Portland in the far distance.  Its location is quite like no other.  The outstanding beauty of this spot on the Jurassic Coast is now recognised as a World Heritage Site.    

The shingle and sand beach forms part of the famous coast and is ideal for 'All Year Breaks'.  The chalet is brand new, built to high specification and offers comfortable accommodation with many homely touches.  Warm and comfortable, including heating, a new kitchen, shower room, double glazed windows and parking. 

Please note there is a restricted head height on the mezzanine level and is only suitable for a child or teenager. There is no standing height and the hatch area is unprotected when the loft ladder is down.  This level has high strength yacht netting in place to prevent anyone from looking over the mezzanine edge.  Due to the staircase this property may not be suitable for some guests and is not suitable for children under 6 years of age.

Accommodation:

Cosy living area with wonderful sea views, 3 seater daybed with 4ft 6inch mattress, director chairs, electric flame effect stove, fold out coffee table, stools and flatscreen TV. Patio doors have roller blinds for privacy. Well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, fridge with icebox freezer compartment, microwave, toaster, kettle and 2 hob oven/grill. Small breakfast bar and preparation area. Shower room with shower cubicle, washbasin and WC. The mezzanine level is accessed by a fold-away loft ladder with 3ft single bed, opened from below.

Deck area with seating and table for 3 people. Immediate access straight onto Monmouth beach from the chalet.

Lyme Regis

Lyme Regis, nicknamed 'The Pearl of Dorset' lies on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast and is near Charmouth and the Devon border. Lyme Regis is a historic seaside resort and fishing port and boasts breathtaking scenery, making it a resort for all seasons. The town is famous for its fossils, often found on its beaches and cliffs. In fact, it was in the cliffs that the famous Ichthyosaur was discovered by Mary Anning, the daughter of a local fossil collector. She went on to find a complete Plesiosaur and the well-preserved remains of a flying reptile. Book a fossil walks with local experts to ensure you are both safe and full of knowledge by the end. The famous harbour wall known as 'The Cobb' featured in the film and novel of The French Lieutenant's Woman.
