The Malthouse is a beautifully converted malthouse situated in the town of Weymouth in Dorset and benefits from a mixed traditional and contemporary interior. The house can sleep 6 people in 2 single, 1 double and 1 twin single bedrooms as well has a family bathroom and a shower room. The rest of the house is made up of a fitted kitchen/ dining/sitting room. To the outside of the cottage is off road allocated parking for 1 car and a patio with garden furniture. The Malthouse is perfect for large families to enjoy seaside holiday close to Weymouth centre and Old Harbour.

Property Details

The Malthouse is ideally positioned within the Brewers Quay area of Weymouth, just a short walk from the bustling harbour along with a variety of shops, restaurants and Weymouth's famous golden sands.

Tastefully furnished with a high standard of fixtures and fittings throughout, The Malthouse caters for up to six guests across its four bedrooms. The open plan living and dining area provide a homely setting whether relaxing in the lounge area after a busy day exploring the area or simply enjoying a meal sat around the dining table. The front patio, complete with garden furniture, provides an ideal haven for relaxing or enjoying a glass of wine.

The spacious open plan living, dining and kitchen area is furnished with a sofa and coffee table, a 40" TV and DVD player and a wooden dining table with matching chairs.

The fully equipped kitchen including a fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer and a full range of utensils and accessories.

Bedroom one is furnished with a super king-size bed, sofa, two bedside cabinets complete with matching lamps, two wardrobes and a chest of drawers, a 32" flat-screen TV with Freeview. A cot is provided for guests use (no linen provided). Bedroom two is furnished with two single beds, bedside cabinet and lamp and bedroom three has a single bed, bedside cabinet with lamp and a wardrobe. Bedroom four is furnished with a single bed and bedside cabinet. Bedroom four is situated on the ground floor, but access may not be sufficient for wheelchair users.

The main family bathroom comprises of a bath, separate shower, toilet and washbasin. There is a cloakroom, complete with shower, situated on the ground floor.

The Malthouse is situated on a secure, gated development and has allocated parking for one car in the residents parking area. A front patio and separate small internal patio including garden furniture are available. Weymouth beach is less than 15 minutes walk along the pretty harbourside. A variety of restaurants and shops within close proximity. Nearby Nothe Fort offers the perfect setting for enjoying a picnic and absorbing the relaxing ambience.

Weymouth

Weymouth is a busy seaside town and lies on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. Weymouth's golden sandy beach has received the Quality Coast Award. This is because of good quality water, well-developed facilities and beach supervision. There are plenty of supermarkets and a variety of shops. There is a wide choice of cafes and restaurants, offering a range of cuisines. As a result, you are spoilt for choice. Weymouth is famous for its fresh seafood. You can often see the local fishermen unloading their daily catch from the Harbour. It is from the harbour that you can pick up boat tours. These include a tour of the Jurassic coast and a water taxi from Weymouth to Portland.

Weymouth Attractions and Activities

Lodmoor Country Park is fantastic for the children and adults to explore and rest for a picnic. In addition, try your hand at crazy golf or let the children drive in the little go-kart track. Let the children loose in the Pirate Ship Play Park or the Green Gym. Slide down the wonky slide or walk the dog through the woodland paths. RSPB Nature Reserve is next to Lodmoore Park displaying details of all the Marsh birds in the area. Also, there is a cafe for refreshments after all the exploring. Sandworld is by the cycle path at Lodmoor park. Be amazed at the awesome sculptures made by local artists. You can let the children take turns to make their own sand sculpture. In addition, view smaller displays along the seafront. In conclusion, the attention to detail that goes into these will amaze you.

The Sea Life Centre is full of marine animals and much much more. The Centre is jam-packed full of fun rides and activities for the children. There are also rides galore along the seafront with arcades that stay open in the evenings. A little train will take you along the length of the seafront. Here you will find Donkey rides on the beach are available. Punch and Judy play on the seafront during the summer. A short walk away is the Nothe Fort which holds events for both adults and children. Weymouth is well known for the Red Arrows display which happens on Carnival Day. You can watch the action from the beach and see the fireworks from the bay. At night, colourful lasers light up the seafront and the promenade. The Pavillion theatre holds regular live shows.
