The Old School House is a superb base set within a converted Victorian village school, in the village of Piddletrenthide. It comes with three bedrooms, comprising of a double bedroom with an en-suite, a twin bedroom and a single bedroom. There is also a family bathroom with a bath, separate walk-in shower, basin and WC, as well as a ground-floor cloakroom with a basin and WC. Completing the interior is a kitchen/diner, a sitting room with a woodburning stove, a reading room with a woodburning stove and a utility. To the outside, you will find off-road parking for one car, a side garden with a table and chairs and a shared lawn area. Piddlehinton lies on the edge of Dorset's Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) so the countryside is truly stunning with many villages and areas you should explore. Head over to Cerne Abbas to discover the giant and the wonderful New Inn pub, continue to Sydling St Nicholas and Cattistock. Or head north and discover Ansty and Ibberton again both with excellent pubs. If you like cycling then head this way and take on the climb up Bulbarrow Hill, Dorset's highest point or just drive and take in the magnificent views. The county town of Dorchester is just a short drive away with shops, restaurants and museums to discover. The Jurassic Coast lies about 20 minutes further on so you can enjoy both the countryside and coast from this location.

Buckland Newton is a pretty village in Dorset on the edge of Dorset's Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village has a playing field and playground as well as a village shop, post office and pub. There are an abundance of country walks to discover here that will take you off the beaten track and allow you to enjoy the countryside and views.
For those who love action, then visit the Henley Hillbillies. Here you can drive quad bikes, Polaris Ace buggies, Mini Mavriks and even hover crafts. Or try your hand at shooting with the option for clay pigeon, archery, crossbows and air rifles. Nearby towns include Sherborne and Dorchester with a wealth of attractions. Visit Cerne Abbas and enjoy a relaxing lunch in the beer gardens of a choice of three pubs, all are dog friendly. Explore its famous chalk giant and wonderful countryside and take in the wonderful views surrounding you.
